309 Norwood
Built in 1948, the wood frame home was located on Highway 7 East across from the Marlin football field. It was moved to its present location in 2002 when purchased by the Tate-Hillard Properties LLC. Shirley Horton began remodeling the home and she and family members occupied the home until it was purchased in, June 2006 by Kathy Sartor. Reminiscent of the days of old, the quaint front porch with wood railings beckons visitors inside. The tin ceiling living room is filled with generations of family photos (early Marlin residents) and an antique mantle. The new owners love of genealogy is evident with the family heirlooms/antiques and vintage pieces that furnish and preserve the ambiance of the home. A 6x8 furnished child’s playhouse adorns the backyard.
